EBRD Finances Rengy Development’s New Solar Project in Ukraine

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has provided €6.9 million in financing to Rengy Development for the construction of a 9.5 MWp solar power plant in the Vinnytsa region.
The financing package consists of a €5.0 million loan from the EBRD and a €1.9 million loan from the Clean Technology Fund.
This marks the EBRD's third investment in Rengy Development's solar projects in southwestern Ukraine. In 2012 and 2013, the EBRD provided financing for two previous solar plants, with capacities of 4.5 MW and 5.0 MW respectively. Both plants are now operational.
