Rengy Development Starts Building Its First Solar Project in Odesa Region

December 22, 2016

Rengy Development is initiating the construction of a new solar power plant in the Odesa region. The project will receive financial support totaling €2.1 million from Ukrgasbank.

The new solar power plant, SU-1, is estimated to have a capacity of 3.2 MWp and will be built in the Izmail district. The project is expected to be commissioned no later than next spring.

While this project is not Rengy’s first of such scale in Ukraine, it is the company’s inaugural venture in the Odesa region. Rengy Development has previously commissioned several industrial solar power plants in the Vinnytsia region.

Ukrgasbank’s funding for the project aligns with its ECO-banking strategy, which aims to enhance energy efficiency in Ukraine’s economy and bolster its energy security.
