Construction of AMB-2 SPP in Odesa Region Progresses Towards Completion
Rengy Development is making steady progress on the construction of a new 6.2-megawatt solar power plant, AMB-2, in the Odesa region of Ukraine.
Key Construction Milestones Achieved:
- Safety and Security: The installation of security fencing has been completed, ensuring the safety and protection of the facility.
- Infrastructure in Place: Trenches for drainage and cable lines have been dug, facilitating efficient rainwater management and electrical connectivity.
- Groundwork Completed: The grounding system and all necessary piles for the installation structures are now in place.
- PV Module Structures Nearly Complete: Approximately 80% of the structures for the PV modules have been installed.
Next Steps and Anticipated Completion:
Our engineers are preparing to begin mounting the PV modules early next month, with completion expected by summer. Following module installation, the project will focus on commutation, the installation of string inverters, transformers, and high-voltage switchgear.
Contributing to Ukraine's Renewable Energy Landscape:
Anticipated to be operational during the second quarter of 2024, the AMB-2 PV plant will soon be integrated into the grid, adding critical distributed generation capacity to Ukraine's renewable energy landscape. This will contribute to energy security and provide much-needed power during peak demand periods, particularly during the summer months.
