Rengy Development Completes Mykolaiv Solar Park

November 18, 2019

Rengy Development, in partnership with Norwegian company Scatec Solar, has commissioned the third and final stage of their Mykolaiv solar park, the 13.4 MW AFA station. This brings the total capacity of the park to 47 MW, achieving its planned goal.

The AFA station will generate an estimated 17 GWh of clean electricity annually for the Ukrainian energy system.

A Project Delivered by BlockMaster:

As with the previous two stages, Rengy Development's engineering division, BlockMaster, handled the full design, construction, and commissioning process. The AFA station spans 20 hectares and features 40,513 polycrystalline photomodules, each with a power capacity of 330 W. Notably, the supporting metal structures were manufactured in BlockMaster's own production facility.

Positive Impact:

The completed Mykolaiv solar park is projected to generate 56 GWh annually, powering 15,000 Ukrainian households while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 51,000 tons per year. This is equivalent to removing 10,200 cars from the road, contributing significantly to a cleaner and more sustainable future for Ukraine.
